About Our Crest

The Stalks of Wheat:

Wheat is associated with purity, covenant, and blessing. Some view it as a representation of Christ, the Bread of Life. Wheat is a traditional symbol of wealth.

Crimson:

The reddish color represents the blood of Jesus.

Our Name:

The legal name of this APOSTOLIC BIBLE COLLEGE is "Apologetics". This name represents the basis of our existence. Our primary focus is the branch of theology that is concerned with defending or proving the truth of Christian doctrines.

Our Primary Curriculum:

The BIBLE; the purest or closest to the original languages, will always be our translation of choice.

The Scripture text:

II Cor 10:5 - "Casting down imaginations" is our theme.

II Corinthians 10:5 states:

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (KJV)

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,  (New American Standard Bible).

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  (New International Version)

The date:

1986 is the year that ABC was founded under the original name MCNEESE BIBLE ACADEMY.

Veritas:

The word "VERITAS" is a Latin term that means "Truth". Ribbons represent victory. Hence, where there is truth there is a victory. At ABC, we firmly believe:  "magna est veritas et praevalebit" (lat.) truth is mighty and will prevail.
